Jonathan Hakakian
Jonathan worked as a project manager in the construction industry and founded an Internet consulting firm prior to joining SoundBoard in 2010. He is certified in Essential Facilitation and shares his skills of digging deeper and providing significant analysis in order to establish clarity and provide alternative perspectives. Jonathan's history with, and passion for, entrepreneursip led him to join the SoundBoard Team. He, along with Richard Magid, started SoundBoard Ventures, with a mission to guide start-up and growth focused companies toward greater success.
In Jonathan's words:
"Growing up in a family business has its advantages, only a small part of which was listening to my parents hash out the details of the business at the dinner table, in the car, on vacations, really any chance the two of them had. It is this exposure to the inner workings of business and the business owner mentality, that ignited a sense of intrigue and curiosity within me.
Innately having this entrepreneurial spirit, I created a consulting company focused on assisting small to medium sized companies leverage the internet in ways that had not yet become mainstream. My lifelong exposure and intrigue was also a great benefit in a project management role I held at a Northern NJ construction firm. Now at SoundBoard, and with the help of my fellow team members, my skills and passions are strongly aligned with each other and with the company's mission.
I am inspired and passionate about contributing to the success of other organizations through nourishing, protecting and advancing their goals through the same processes that have become so familiar to me: stretching conversations; thought-provoking questions; serious analysis; and unwavering faith that the benefits will outweigh the risks.
Our SoundBoard team is comprised of highly motivated and excited individuals who push each other to, as the cliche has it, make today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today! And I consider myself very fortunate to have found myself among such an inspiring, driven and successful group early in my career."
